While in grad school I became so busy I never got around to cutting or dying my hair and all the sudden found myself in a position I haven't been in for a long time: having long hair. When I made this realization I decided to just keep going and get it long enough to donate to Locks of Love or Beautiful Lengths. As my hair got longer and thesis writing came I realized that THE hair cut and graduation may be around the same time. Well, November passed and my hair wasn't long enough. So I said that I would wait until I get my actual diploma in the mail and it should be long enough by then. So I waited, very impatiently (I really don't like having long hair!)
I was surprised and excited to find my MA diploma in the mail on Tuesday. My hair was between 8.5-10 inches (it was layered), which is long enough for Beautiful Lengths. So off I went to the salon for a snip and dye. Oh sweet sassy, I am so happy with the results! I hated my long hair and was itching to get back to my good old bob. So here I am, in a bob and with red hair to boot. I am so very happy and am glad that my hair will go off to make a wig for a cancer patient/survivor.
