To help bring in the weekend, here is a 9 min reel of Warner Bros. movie bloopers from 1936 (with the likes of James Cagney, Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart, and more). Does anyone know what that bell was for that sounds in a couple of these scenes?
In a related note, does anyone know where I can find a copy of You Can't Ration Love (1944)? I heard a radio play of this film on Antioch yesterday and would love to see a move version of it. (It was on the February 25, 1945 airing of Old Gold Comedy Theatre.) Unfortunately, Netflix doesn't have it, nor does my local rental shop. Ah, the eternal search for old movies one goes through!
On two unrelated notes...
We just added some new stationery on 16 Sparrows. Airplanes, lined linen paper, and blood orange ink...so much lovely stuff.
For those living in London, you should drop by The Parlour for me. Hosted by Mien magazine from March 5th through 10th, it will be a place "to write letters, engage in good conversation, play games like cards, drink punch and enjoy music." Sounds lovely.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
