Remember long ago when I promised to do a Vintage Style outfit post all of stuff that you can make yourself? Well, I am quite tardy in delivering this to you, but here it is! And to make up for my lateness, there will be a second post next week with yet another DIY vintage outfit.
For both outfits I chose reproduction or new patterns so that everyone has a chance to make them (I'm always bummed when someone is quicker than me in buying a vintage pattern). I also added alternative pieces and a plus size pattern, because I know those sizes are hard to come by in vintage shapes! Lets get down to the first part of the outfit.
Gal Friday Blouse from Decades of Style or 2593 Misses' Blouses from Simplicity (Cynthia Rowley) or Alexander Blouse from Burda Style
Pleated Skirt (plus size) from New Vintage Lady or Full Skirt with Tie from Burda Style
And the accessories...
Hats from Wearing History or Set of Four Ladies' Hats,
circa 1935 from Eva Dress
Beach Bag from Free Vintage Crochet
Play Shoes crochet pattern from Free Vintage Crochet or Athena Beach Slipper crochet pattern from Knit on the Net. (Helpful: Jute Soles on Etsy.)
Stay tuned for another DIY vintage outfit next week.
