A change of the season from butt-ass-cold to not means that I'm back to wearing my saddle shoes. Oh sweet sassy, do I love my saddles. I do not regret buying both of the pairs I have, even though I was really hesitant to make the first purchase.
That being said, let us look at some lovely everyday vintage ladies struttin' their stuff in saddles?

Now that I am comfortable with wearing saddle shoes (correction: LOVE wearing saddle shoes), I'm considering getting a pair of penny loafers. I owned a pair when I was in middle school, but don't know if it is something I want to go for again. Any penny loafer wearers out there?
Thanks for posting, I so want to own a pair! But I am hesitant about the brand, Willits, Muffy? What's your experience?

I recently started a tumblr about saddle shoes! My favorites are Bass. The Rachel Antonoff collaboration is super cute too.

that Tumblr idea a great one! Here might be one for the collection: http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/2010/05/eatmore-vintage-photos.html
Thanks for the brand info. Heard about Bass but not Rachel Antonoff.

I'm a saddle shoe wearing gal myself. I have a red/white leather soled pair from Muffy's and a solid burgundy leather Willits vintage pair. I'm also a Bass Weejun penny loafer lover. I have a black pair and a burgundy pair and hunted for 1940's pennies for them ;) I guess I spent my youth in both styles so much that they seem normal for me to wear. That tells you how old I am, lol. Great pics!!

There are lots of loafer ideas buried in the posts at ErinMcKean's A Dress a Day blog.
