Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed my Silent Intertitles Interlude series while I was away. Everything with the wedding and related celebrations went swimingly. I have yet to get photos back from the photographer, but when I do, I'll write-up a little overview of everything.
The major accomplishment from all this is that I completed all those shawls! I knitted 5 total: one for me, one for each bridesmaid (3 total), and one for my sister-in-law. I worked on my sister-in-law's last and I was definitely cutting it close. At one point I found myself knitting furiously at 2am. I fell asleep for a few seconds, and to my amazement, I continued knitting while I had my eyes closed! Yes, that is how many times I did that darn pattern - I was able to knit in my sleep.
When I was all done weaving the ends and blocking them, I wrapped the brides maid's shawls in some white fabric from my statsh and tied them up with silk versions of those hankies that Elide made for me. It was simple packaging, but I think it looks really nice in the end.
Oh, and when I said I didn't get any photos back from the photographer yet, I kind of lied. I got one teaser shot that shows the back of my detachable train. Here it is for you until I get the others:
And with that, I am back to my regular posting schedule!
