"H" from George Cruikshank’s Comic Alphabet (1836)
I hope everyone has been having a lovely and not stressful time with the holidays this year. I'll be off visiting family and resting-up for a brand new year, so I'm going to take a little blogging break for a few weeks. I'll be blogging every day on the LWA blog, but I won't be back here until January 8th.
The above "H" is from Comic Alphabet (1836) by George Cruikshank. If you are interested in seeing the entire Alphabet from George Cruikshank, saunter over to Spitalfields Life and check it out. The post also has further links to more of Cruikshank’s work. Enjoy!
Kathy here. I'm the history nerd behind this blog as well as one half of the stationery shop 16 Sparrows. I'm also co-founder of the member- based group, The Letter Writers Alliance. If you are new here, check out some of the most popular posts and work your way from there.
