I had to take a day off from my day job to go to a doc's appointment and decided to make a vacation out of it. Well, as much as one as I could make with a waiting room involved in the middle of the day. Firstly, I woke-up early and walked over to Glazed & Infused to pick-up a few doughnuts. It was pretty warm (for a Chicago winter) and it has been so logn since I've walked about the city that I really enjoyed the bit of fresh air. My favorite of the bunch was the banana cream one, though I'm also a fan of their long john styles.
I continued my day with sitting in my favorite chair and reading until I had to walk over to the doc's, and then kept reading and reading. Its been so long since I could just have (semi)uninterrupted time for reading. Right now I'm switching between the first Game of Thrones volume and My Berlin Kitchen.
The walk back home was a bit colder then when I left, so I warmed-up with a shot of Krupnick splashed into some hot water. It was a perfect for scrubbing away the cold weather and possible doctor office germs. While relaxing with that pick-me-up, I saw that the interview Donovan and I did with Jet Pens went up. We did the interview a few weeks ago, so it was fun to remind myself of how I answered some of the questions! Go check it out, we make some recommendations on pens, pencils, and other fun office stuffs.
