Last Christmas I knit Carolee a thick cowl and was so excited about it that I totally forgot to take good picture of the finished product. Thankfully, it got cold enough in San Francisco for her to don it and she kindly took photos for me.
The pattern is Triangle Loop from EricaKnits and the yarn is the Greater Poison line from the awesome Wool Dispensary. This was my second project with Wool Dispensary yarn and my third EricaKnits pattern. I love how easy to read and straightforward her instructions are. It was a perfect holiday travel project as the pattern is repetitive enough that you can zone out, but interesting enough not to get bored. It was such a fun project that I am pretty sure I'm going to make one for myself, just in different colors.
Right now I'm thinking Stardust and Goblin City would make a good color combo for this pattern. What do you think? Goblin city was sold out, so I ended-up going with On the Back Lot and Weirwood for my version of the cowl. I think it makes a good combo that will be a bright beacon in the drab that is winter.
Edit later: The Wool Dispensary is having a sale until Dec 31st. Enter promocode Starter13 when checking otu and you get 30% off your order (I totally splurged on some yarn!)
