I read a lot of online blogs [shocking, I know]. It warmed me to my toes to see that Black*Eiffel, one of my favorites, has started documenting her stamp collection on Flickr. I do hope she keeps it up. How great are those birds?
grain edit {a favorite design site of mine} has a fun Flickr group for Mid Century Modern design focused around stickers, labels and, most importantly, stamps! They've got a lot to look through. Go have some fun!Another absolute, must-see resource for stamps is Iain Follett’s stamp collection on Flickr, and also the Ace Jet blog "Postal" category.
My "collection" is in a pretty great wooden mini-C file which is called a "pastel box" on the label. I try not to get too attached to them because I'm always using them in projects. I'm a little terrified that I'm going to discover one day that I totally destroyed a priceless stamp in the course of my artist endeavors.
In trying to identify all the scan in my Flickr collection, I used a site called 1847USA which has stamps from 1847 through 1970 and a bunch of tips to help in stamp identification. For the newer issues, I used the Arago: People, Postage & the Post index through the Smithsonian National Postal Museum. It is a wonderful site.
Anyone have suggestions for more stamp collections online?

Thanks for the links! I can't wait to go check them out!
