My boyfriend has a saying he likes to use: "Nothing beats the taste sensation when maple collides with ham." I'm sure it's a quote from somewhere. My point being, it's always fun when I find two letter-writing loves combined in one; just like this Retro 51's Postmaster fountain pen.
The pen is made with real canceled postage stamps, lacquered onto the barrel and cap. I first spotted this pen in Carol's photostream through the GOOD MAIL DAY Flickr group. She's got a good eye! There's also an all-flag stamps version available through Fahrney's Pens. This is a limited edition item; so if it tickles your fancy, best pick one up now.

Hmmmm... fancy officially tickled. Going shopping now. Thanks, Donovan!

A month ago I gave my hubby info about the very same pen and requested he give it to me for Christmas. Two weeks ago he surprised me with a package to open, saying it was just a little something to say he still loves me (after 41 years!). To my delight it was the Postmaster fountain pen...it's great!! Hummm...wonder what my Christmas present will be??

I loved this pen so much, I found another version at the local stationary store, made from abalone chips. Bought it right away! Retro 51 pens run to the BOLD in nib sizes.
