Thanks to the lovely folks at Zen Desk (via Gizmodo), let’s take a look at just what the USPS has to do at Christmas. Last year, the USPS expected to take in and sort 800 million letters and packages (up from the typical 559 million on a regular day). That is a lot of mail!

And from another LWA Ashley...My mom has worked for UPS for 30 years and I just found out that the USPS outsources some of their stuff to other companies (I know UPS for sure, I'm assuming FedEx as well.) My moms building is a smaller facility in NY and when I talked to her one day last week they had sent 1800 packages in one night alone for the USPS. It's fun to see them all working together and being friends instead of stiff competition.
