Say what you will about postal rate increases, they always seem to herald a bunch of new stamp designs, which is alright by me.
Released today are the following beautiful stamps; the Spicebush Swallowtail & the Tufted Puffins.

FYI, in case you haven't already seen it... The USPS.com website is now selling the Kaleidescope stamps in strips of 25, as well as the full monster-sized coil. Hurrah!
P.S. I really llike the new butterfly and, strangely enough, the tufted puffin. LOL

I can't help thinking I got a bad batch of Puffins. The colors on mine are so muddled, and there is an unattractive green overcast to the whole scene. The stamp is really tiny, though, so perhaps I just need glasses.

That happened to me with the bobcats. I got a batch that just was not well printed. Perhaps you can compare yours at the PO? Maybe they will switch them for you?
