I've been following the 100 Days Action Instagram account and this project caught my attention:
Artist Alicia Escott is a calling asking us to examine ourselves and our values and then put them in print, sealed away for a later date. A Letter to Myself for An Uncertain Future is a written time capsule intended to preserve your sense of self through the threat of a great unravelling—of ideas, identity, even country—with the concern that what has been clear to us may become unclear, fuzzy, tangled, tainted, twisted.
Written with the understanding that none of us are immune to the group insanity that may periodically manifest in a society, 100 Days Action invites you to write yourself a letter honestly expressing your values and lines in the sand with the hope that together and individually we can employ the tools gained during past times of authoritative confusion to mitigate these mistakes.
Your letter will be kept confidential and unread (unless you would like it shared), and will be mailed back to you in one year’s time.
To participate, pen your letter and drop it in the mail to:
