Ooh, thanks for the recommendation! Always looking for more BBC/PBS shows...

I wonder if you've come across this book, set during German occupation; it's been very popular in the U.K: 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' by Annie Barrows & Mary Ann Shaffer.

I got watched this, too, about a month ago. I thought it was really good. There is also a mini-series called Land Girls about the women who had to work the land in Britain during WWII. It's on instant, too. Not nearly as good as this, but still interesting. I had always wondered about the Land Girls. I haven't heard of Midsomer Murders. I'll check it out.

Oh how strange - I was thinking of this programme only today! I was trying to recall some things I watched back then, so that I can re-watch them again now. I'll definitely have to try and find somewhere I can watch it!

Great mini series...sound be a season 2.....disappointed

Should be a season 2

I'm disappointed that there wasn't a season 2. How can this be??
