Ohhh drats, I wish I'd known about the Grandma Club a month ago, when I was writing an article about the rising trend in relearning "granny skills"! Ah well, your club sounds excellent, and better late than never, right?

: )

I followed the link from your comment on Angry Chicken. I love the idea of a Grandma Club. I've got to find some other gals in my area that are interested in this! And now I'm off to check out your archive. :)

Oh, I am so excited to try this, thanks for emailing me.I cannot wait to have fresh butter and buttermilk! Oh, the baking! Good thing I just recieved a 1955 Diet book.

I found you from over at angry chicken. I love the idea of the grandma club! I woul love to be in a grandma club...but for now I will just make homemade butter!

I remember shaking the milk for my Grandma to make buttermilk. However, I thought that the milk had to be sour or turned before you could make butter and buttermilk? Does it not have to be soured or "clabbered" first? (That would explain why my buttermilk was so sour smelling last time I tried it.)
