About a week ago, I mailed out some goodies celebrating our reaching 250 member. This sending consisted of the collected letters of Elizabeth Olhaborge from the 1930s and 40s. She was a part-time art teacher and an avid letter writer. She had penpals in France and there were some letters from them in the collection as well.
Unfortunately, because we are growing so large, so quickly, I did run out of her letters before I had sent something to everyone in the database. Never fear! I sent out some antique postal covers to the rest of you. International members, your mailings probably will take a little longer to arrive. As always, if you did not provide me with your address for the database- I can't send you anything. Signing up for the penpal swap is not the same as sending your address to the database. Please, if you want to receive the mailings, send your address to our email along with your member number! Also, if you move, remember to keep your address up-to-date as well.
I was absolutely delighted to receive my note and historic goodies from you. Thank you! What a nice surprise. But I must confess that upon first examination of the return address, I panicked. My ex-boyfriend lives in Chicago (I don't know his exact address) and I was fearful that this handwritten letter was some type of request for he and I to reconnect. I was quite relieved when I saw your note inside :-) Whew!
