When I was in San Francisco, one of the lovely people I met mentioned that I should check out The Regional Assembly of Text. Wow. This make me want to move to Canada. What a great looking place and they run such neat projects. Plus, they have a letter writing club on the first Thursday of the month at 7PM. Please, one of our Canadian members, please do go and give them our best! Tell us how it went and take pictures. In fact, the first L.W.A. member to attend a Regional Assembly of Text letter writing club and take some photos for us will win a fabulous prize; a set of Royal Mail stamps designed and signed by Dave McKean! Go and write letters and let me live vicariously through you!
Donovan, you really need to stop introducing me to all these new things. First, it was LWA, then last night I spent 2 hours preparing postcards for PostCrossing, now this. I'm going to have to arrange a trip to the coast just to visit. For an laid-off pastor, that's gonna get expensive! ;-)

Gah! I have my stationery and supplies in my bag today. I don't think the boss would appreciate me taking off early to run up to Vancouver today. Plus, I don't have my passport on me.
Next month though...

Oh wow, I really really wish I could do this!

Aw, I was just there last night, I wish I'd read your blog post first, I could have taken pictures for you.
It's a really fun time. It's so neat to walk into a room filled with the sound of typewriter keys, and see what creative things people are doing with their letters.

I was just there this weekend and told them you all want photos! (Sadly, we were there on a Sat. afternoon). How much do you love their T-shirt with the mail sorting/delivery process: http://www.assemblyoftext.com/online_shop/74-postal-system-t-shirt.html ?

I'm heading up to the Regional Assembly of Text tomorrow. I've packed my bags and found my passport. Camera's in the car. :)
