Designer Matt Chase's conceptual redesign for the U.S.P.S. brand swept through the design blogosphere on Monday. In case you missed it, here are the highlights.
Personally, I think it's a bit too precious. The fifties were fun and
all with their McCarthyism, smoking and chauvinism {Mad Men's a great
show {EDIT: which begins in 1961 and that's close enough for government work} but its aesthetic doesn't need be to all in my government
services. Still, I find the scope of the redesign very impressive and offer my congratulations to Matt on a job well done.
I love the stamps and stamp despensers

It is a little too cutesy, but the stamp dispensers sold me :)
(mad men is set in the 60's not 50's)
