Jon McGregor is the editor of the newly published literary journal The Letters Page. It is published three times a year and can be downloaded from their official site. Letter writing is both the "theme and form" of the journal. They state, "We’re interested in exploring what letter writing means to people - and has meant since writing was invented - in their literary cultures and their personal lives. We’ll be publishing essays, memoir, fiction, travelogue, reportage, poetry, criticism, interviews… any creative form of writing, so long as it comes to us framed as a letter." Submissions are accepted by postal mail to the following address: The Letters Page, School of English, University of Nottingham, NG7 2RD, UK The first issue is already published, but they are currently accepting letters for the second issue which focuses on pen pals. EDIT: My apologies, the second issue is also already in the works, but stay tuned to their website for the next theme. You can read their submission guidelines here.
As an additional bit of fun, the editor also wrote up an "Out of Office" message article for the Guardian. It's worth your time and has good points as well as a few laughs. Thanks to all the L.W.A. members who sent this information our way. I hope to see many of your letters in print in The Letters Page.
This is wonderful. Thanks for sharing :-)

Unless I am misunderstanding, the deadline for submitting is past (Oct. 16), so you might want to update the listing since it was written after the deadline ended. I would love to be wrong and they bumped the deadline, so if so, please tell us!

Hi Tamra,
You're right. The deadline for this issue is past, but as they are a publication through letters, I hope and assume that they'll want submissions all the time. That's what I get for writing blog posts months in advance.
