This stamp was released on the 19th and maybe it's the purple, but I like it. It depicts the biblical story of the journey of the three wise men, or Magi, to the birth of Christ. What I really like about its design is how it works with the Holy Family issue from 2012. If you have some holiday cards to send and aren't against overpaying your postage for art's sake, I could envision some interesting stamp placements telling a story on your envelopes. Plus, the design is really modern. Put it on a black envelope and do the addressing in bronze ink and that's a swanky card right there.
P.S. Also, if you haven't yet, check out the new stuff at www.uspsstamps.com. The calendar and articles are especially nice.
P.P.S. Come see Kathy at DIY Trunkshow tomorrow! Come see me at Show of Hands tomorrow! Come see both of us at Show of Hands on Sunday!
Oh, they do go together! Very cool!
