So these stamps are out, or are scheduled to come out very shortly. Sorry that I can't get all that excited about them because snooooooooooooooze. Mind you, I'm not saying these aren't important subjects. They certainly are and they deserve to be on stamps, but boy are they boring. The Medal of Honor stamps get a pass because they are part of a series that all look like that (and can arguably be used to quite a striking effect.) I hope some of you like them, but they really don't do it for me.
The Special Olympics World Games stamp was available starting May 9th. Missing Children comes out on the 18th and the Medal of Honor: Vietnam War issues are on the 25th.
I like the Medal of Valor and Forget-Me-Not ones (especially with the extra "find missing children" knife-in-the-heart). Will probably pick up some of the latter.

I know! I had the same snooze reaction to all 3. I was just thinking today that I'll have to wait (a month, two) for a stamp issue that is interesting!

I like 2/3 of the releases. The new Civil War stamps are ones that I want but has been sold out in my area. I just picked up the Forget Me Not stamps today. The recent cherry blossoms release is one my favorites this year.
