Chimney Post

A charming story comes to us from Alan B. out of England. It tells the tale of letters to Santa discovered from where they were posted up the chimney. I had never heard of the tradition of chimney posting before and I am utterly delighted by it. All of my letters were sent to Colorado, where, it turns out, Santa lived with my grandparents. Where'd you send your letters to Santa?

We used to write ours on airmail paper, very thin and light and then my Dad would light a fire and they would be carried up the chimney by the up-draught.
