After a successful funding campaign, the short-film project Eduardo Munez is underway. The film still needs your help. They need lots and lots of letters.
"We are looking for letters, particularly drawn envelopes, mail art and plain envelopes - not postcards. Most importantly the letters must be addressed to Mr Eduardo Munez. We will have to change the production office address on the front of all the letters to the fictional address of the character in the film so please leave the address section fairly clear of decoration. Some of our Mail Artists have written the address in pencil - this is really easy for us to rub out and put in the fictional address so if it doesn't interfere with the design of your envelope too much, we'd recommend this as the best option. Please be sure to write your sender details on the back of the envelope as the letters will not be opened until after the film is completed!"
Send your letters to:
Mr Eduardo Munez
272 Waterloo Street,
Newcastle upon Tyne,
England,
NE1 4DJ
If you give them permission, they'll share your letter on their blog and Facebook page. It sounds like something that would attract a lot of Alliance members*. Go forth and write!
*Indeed, a number of you sent this in to us. Thanks for keeping an eye out for mail projects!
I just wrote to the screen writer and she said that deadline has been extended to March 20th.

Hello! Yes - I am going to extend the deadline! We have an extra three weeks as we can't film until the end of March now so we can accept letters until 21st (I realised 20th is a Sunday!) We've had an incredible response - the letters we've received are beautiful and will look fabulous in our film! Please keep them coming! We'd love to be able to say we only used real letters in our film - no fake letters made by the art department!
Pls feel free to email me if anyone has any questions!
