Are the current postcard stamps, the shells and the birds, considered "forever" stamps? Or will we need to add at least a 1 cent stamp with those now? All in all not a big deal, just don't want to get a return for insufficient postage. Thanks.

Charlie

Wow! Canadian domestic stamps are $1.00 each and $0.85 each if you buy them in a pack of 10 or more. American prices would save me a lot of money!

Alan B.

She's right you know, that's cheap.
The cheapest UK letter rate is the equivalent of 77cents, and the longest route possible is only about 900 miles. You could send inland mail over 3000 miles for only 50 cents!

Joe F.

@Angela: According to the USPS site, "Postcard" does indeed work like "Forever", in that it indicates that the stamp will always be valid for (in this case) sending a postcard.

Thanks Joe!

Donovan Beeson

Yup, those current postcard stamps are forever postcard stamps. Youll be able to tell because they say Postcard on them and dont have a monetary value listed.

Adrienne Friend

Do you know if there's been any change to the non-machineable rate or the 3ounce?

Donovan Beeson

The additional ounce/non-machinable stayed at 21 cents. So a 3oz letter will be 50 cents for the first ounce and then 42 cents for the extra two, for a total of 92 cents.
