Yours truly, by which I mean the Letter Writers Alliance, was recently listed on the All Womens Talk blogozine (I don't know the lingo for these things) in the company of many fine pen pal organizations. You can read the listicle by Lezlie Mitchell or I have also handily provided some of the links below. For the full list and helpful tips, do go to the link above. If you can't find a good pal through us, maybe one of these may be your right match. Some are free, some are paid, all should lead to you getting more mail. A perfect list for April's letter writing goals, no?
Thanks to Kathy's matchmaking, I have a wonderful LWA penpal. Going on 6 years now, and we will have our 3rd visit together later this month.

They list letternet.de as number 6, but it closed several years ago. I used to be a member. It was run by the German Post Office as a free penpal service, to match German people with others worldwide. They also used to send out a free magazine with articles, more penpal listings and lovely photos. I miss it, it was a great club and free.

Maybe it's my MacBook Pro, but there are so many sketchy looking ads in the article I'm afraid to click anywhere to advance the story. All I can say is 1) I've got great pen pals through LWA and 2) Stay away from League of Extraordinary Penpals if you are looking to find a long-term, back and forth correspondence that is off the web. Thank you LWA!!!!

I'm a member of LEP and I've found plenty of good penfriends. Just depends on who you write to. I think some of the members are novices at penpalling. But mostly I've found it to be a very good place to find penpals.

There is a group on FB called the Fountain Pen Friends. There are 880 members or so, it is a closed group with most of the members from the USA and the rest are worldwide. We only use fountain pens to write with but the exchange of letters have been constant. I have many pen pals from this group. Another one is to do a hashtag on Instagram "#penpalswanted" and you can see sometimes people who are looking for penpals.
