The U.S.P.S. really REALLY works hard at hiding their postage stamp light under a bushel. So, the Art of Magic stamps came out in August and they are delightful. They've got thoughtful designs and are a compliment to any envelope. As is my way, I posted about their release and ordered a few sheets to use in my October mail art as they have the right look for my Halloweird theme for the month.
But, just like how no one bothered to mention that the Dragon stamps had cool (hot?) red foil printed accents, the fact that you can buy a souvenir sheet of three lenticular Art of Magic stamps that feature a rabbit that actually disappears into a hat was pretty absent from their messaging. There's one sentence in the press release. You can't even buy them from the "Stamps" section of the website. You have to go to the "Collector's Zone" to find them. Here's a direct link to get your own. Why don't they have a gif posted of the stamp in action?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM?! I swear, ya'll.
Yes! I thought the magic stamps were boring until you showed us the magical secret!

I agree with @Kimberly regarding USPS marketing. These are *so neat*. And they're real stamps! For a moment I thought they were just a collectible curiosity, but nope -- says "Forever" on them and everything, and USPS is *really* careful about printing that anywhere and not meaning it.
Makes me think of the Scooby Doo stamps. I wouldn't say I'm *really* well-informed about future stamp releases, but I hadn't even *heard* about them before they were available.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention! I received a lenticular stamp from Switzerland earlier this year - fantastic!

I put this information out on the FB page for our ACE Art Cover Exchange group and one of my friends went to 6 different post offices. I forgot to mention that they were through the website only. You would think that the post office would have alerted her, but they often just don't know. I ordered 5 sheets. One of the other members in our Art Cover group used an invisible ink or glow in the dark in that the rabbit is "now you see it, now you don't! So cool
