The Portland Stamp Company is a favorite of mine. They are making cool stamps with cooler people. Maybe one of them could be you? You can get pre-perforated and gummed paper from them as well as sending them your own designs to produce. They love stamps, as do we all. For the recent holiday, the "Chief Perforation Officer" Niko Courtelis put together a downloadable poster following the history of U.S.P.S. Love stamp issues. It's delightful, and I hope you all enjoy and consider The Portland Stamp Company for your philatelic needs.
I've never heard of this stamp company until now. Thank you.

The image on the blog post is only a portion of the poster. If you click through the links, you'll see the whole thing!

I LOVE this, as I have always had a thing for Love stamps and Christmas stamps. I started looking through my collection of cancelled Love stamps to see if I had all of them shown on the poster. I do have most, not quite all. But I noticed that I had some stamps that did not appear on the poster. I have the 2008 light green filigree heart (42 cents), as shown on the poster, but not the pale yellow (59 cent). But I also discovered a similar earlier design - a lavender filigree heart (41 cents) and a pale pink filigree heart (58 cents) which were not included on the poster. While researching those (and wondering why they were not included on the Love poster) I discovered that they are not technically "Love" stamps, as I have seen them labeled as "Wedding Hearts" and/or "Our Wedding". I had always assumed they were Love stamps too, but I guess not really. I only looked into the issue since the poster included one set of the filigree heart stamps, but not the other. In fact, it seems odd to me that USPS issued two consecutive sets of almost identical designs (differing only by color and postage value). I think in the past they have offered a specific design with one value, and later issued the exact same design with an increased value as prices rose. But in this case it is two different sets, differing only by color (and values). Probably no one else is interested in this to this detail, but as I said, I LOVE "Love" stamps.
