We are looking to lighten our burdens at L.W.A. Headquarters. No, we didn't just watch the Marie Kondo show. Mainly, it's that we have to move out of our studio space in September. To that end, we're being proactive now. It's time to send some of our treasures to new homes and new hoards. We've loved all of these glorious things- like typewriters, stamp spinner racks, vintage papers, curious supplies, antique rubber stamps and much more. Here's how it'll work:
Follow us @letterwriters on Instagram on Saturday, March 2nd.
We'll start posting items for sale in our stories at 11AM.
Send us a direct message if you want to purchase said item.
We'll send you an invoice.
You pay us.
We send you a REMARKABLE TREASURE!
It's pretty simple. Hopefully, it'll be a lot of fun, too. Please join us in our unburdening! Any questions?
If we don't have an instagram account, can we email the LWA about an item we see and want?

Well mostly be paying attention to Instagram, but if something doesnt sell there and we see your email, then yes?
This is new for us. Sorry for the waffly answer.

Some of us don’t use social media, so we miss out on things. Will you have a new studio?

We get that and are sorry for the disappointment. It is very likely some items will end up in a listing on the website. In a way, we're being more inclusive with the online offering, otherwise, only people willing to come to Chicago would be able to participate in the sale.

Unless we find a really sweet deal somewhere, the studio is probably returning to one of our houses.

If you are really selling something large/heavy like a typewriter, is there a possibility to pick up the item if the buyer lives in the Chicago area, rather than paying to have it shipped only a few miles? Thanks for offering the sale--I'm really excited!
